Commitment is a choice. You're choosing a desired future outcome over your current reality. It requires you to focus on the future outcome vs. the instant gratification. To achieve any goal, commitment is necessary.
The stronger your commitment is, the more creative, resourceful and dedicated you'll become to accomplish your goal. Your level of desire will determine your results - if you're not passionate about your goal, it'll makes the commitment difficult to keep. Whatever goal you set must be exciting and believable to you.
“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one's favour all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamt would have come his way. I have learned a deep respect for one of Goethe's couplets: Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it!” - William Hutchison Murray
Listen, and let your spirit lead the way to articulate your deepest desires. Excitement, warmth, feeling energized, a sense of 'yes!' and probably a bit of scarcity can all indicate that you've found a goal that is worth pursuing.
Once there, commit, take action and let the Universe support you in achieving it. Look for the small signs, listen to what you hear around you, the sentence you read in a random newspaper, or a person you just happen to meet by accident. With heart-led desires and commitment all will contribute to you getting what you want.
